Wireless Directory Network Earns ‘People’s Choice’
Global Directory Award

CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine (September **, 2007) – Wireless Directory Network (WDN) announced that the company has earned the 2007 “People’s Choice” award, at the second annual Global Directory Awards (GDA), presented at EDM07, the European Directory and Search Services Conference. The award is for WDN’s ComNote® secure SMS notification service.

The People’s Choice award is the first GDA to be selected by directory and search services (DSS) industry peers. DSS includes the rapidly changing and converging directory assistance/directory enquiry (DA/DQ), Yellow Pages and Internet search markets in a fixed and mobile world.

“WDN is honored to accept the GDA’s People’s Choice award,” said Jeffrey Strunk, CEO, Wireless Directory Network. “It is particularly gratifying that we were selected for this award by our peers.”

This year's People’s Choice award was selected by conference delegates. Entries were posted on the Whitaker Associates website (www.whitaker.com). Entrants then had the opportunity to make a sixty-second “elevator pitch” to conference delegates about their service.

“We know from the presentations and from the ballots that there were a lot of great entries,” said Stuart M. Whitaker, president and CEO, Whitaker Associates. “The People’s Choice award went to WDN-Europe for their ComNote secure SMS notification service, which may significantly expand the mobile directory market by allowing users to reach mobile subscribers whom the users have been unable to reach up to now.”

The ComNote secure SMS notification service allows unpublished mobile subscribers to be contacted via text message without ever revealing the recipient’s mobile phone number. The ComNote sender can add a callback number, text message and choose to mark the SMS as urgent, business, personal or emergency. The receiving unpublished mobile subscriber has the option to return the call, send a reply SMS, block the sender from further contact or ignore the message entirely. The solution serves as an intermediary between users of DA services and unpublished mobile subscribers, protecting subscriber privacy at all times.
